I WRITE in reply to the letter from Beverley Hollands (November 1), who said the older generation have had years to enjoy the old Market Place and we should now let the young ones have it now.
The old market hall catered for both young and old, but the new one is only for the young. So what are we, the older generation, supposed to do?
The old market hall was also a great meeting place, where you could, at least, sit down.
Starbucks to too expensive for me. I can’t afford £2 for a coffee.
Remember, Beverley, you will be a pensioner one day. Maybe the Market Place will be back as it was — one can hope.
The debate on the market will never go away until Bolton Council realises the big mistake it made and does something about it.
