IT is really shocking that people will line up to shoot live animals — but what of their children?

We see them out in the fields, acting as human shields for their parents’ activities.

The adults claim that we, animal welfare campaigners, are filming their children when, in fact, we are filming the needless slaughter of intensely reared birds shot for “sport”.

These children are party to the slaughter of wildlife. Do their parents ever wonder what future parents they are creating?

Slaughtering wildlife with parental cheer and encouragement is one thing, but if some people laud the shooting of birds for sport, it should be no surprise if others adopt the same violence and abusive behaviour towards animals and people.

If you give a child a gun to kill wildlife, you give that child a licence to kill anything.
