REGARDING recent letters in The Bolton News about Blue Badge holders and Le Mans Crescent The council is complaining they are not getting any revenue from Blue Badge users who make up about 80 or 90 per cent, especially around the Crescent.
Rather than pedestrianise the area, why not provide more areas that are reserved for Blue Badges, but charge the normal parking charges for these?
No pedestrian zone, which will please the disabled, and revenue from all the parkers, which should please the council.
The fact that one has a Blue Badge doesn’t mean inability to pay.
