IT was a matter of pride to be part of the crowd in Victoria Square for Bolton’s Remembrance Day service on Sunday.
Pride not only in the servicemen and women — including our domestic services like the police — but also in the numbers of the public who turned out for this special 90th anniversary.
The biting wind didn’t prevent hundreds, including families and the elderly, from standing in respect in what was a very well-organised event. It was both emotional and uplifting, and restored a national pride that’s been rather absent lately.
