ON Saturday at the Macron, Bolton hit a new low — a sixth successive game without scoring a goal for the first time in its history.
Now, still without a win and only two points from 27, they lost 3-0 at home to the only other Championship team still winless — that is until today.
Regrettably, under the stewardship of Ken Anderson, the club is in a sorry state and destined for instant relegation back to the third tier.
The transfer embargo has thankfully been lifted, but let's face reality — there are no funds to buy players in January and what quality of player would want to join a club which still struggles to pay its players at the end each month?
Against this backdrop, Anderson embarks on a public dispute with the BWST. Quite rightly the trust refuses to endorse the lifting of the ACV which protects against the sale of the club assets such as the stadium, hotel and car parks.
Why? Because Mr Anderson refuses to disclose why he wants it lifting. Is it because he would invest the proceeds in the team or it because he could then strip the club of its key assets, pocket the cash, and then rent the assets back from their new owners?
Ken Anderson has no loyalty to the club, its fans, or the town, and his record over the past 18 months is evidence enough that he is long past his sell by date.
