OUR news editor Steven Thompson was left red faced when he took a tumble on the pitch at the Macron Stadium.
Season ticket holder and lifelong fan Steven was selected to take part in Whites half time sombrero challenge.
The 36-year-old managed to score the first three goals — from 12 yards, 18 yards and 30 yards — but failed in his attempt to score from the half way line slipping as he took his shot.
Competitors — who dress up in a Mexican outfit for the challenge — can win a sombrero, a bottle of hot sauce and a meal for two at Chiquitos with their first three shots.
Anyone lucky enough to score from the half way line wins a meal for four at the restaurant, which sponsors the challenge.
Steven said: "It was good fun and a bit of a laugh. It was great to finally be chosen — I apply every match to take part.
"I'm just gutted I didn't manage to score all four. I got told before the challenge that you need to really hit the last one to reach the goal — and I think that's where I went wrong.
"I should have just placed it and I think it would have gone in and I wouldn't have ended up on my backside."
