I AM writing regarding the letter by Mr Frank White regarding David Cameron's visit to the Bolton Lads & Girls Club.
Why would anyone in any capacity, of any political persuasion, try to make a negative out of such a positive?
David Cameron was invited to visit the club. I urged him to take up the invitation. The club does such great work, and with my passion for youth issues, I was keen he got to see first hand what they did.
Whether Mr White or any other members of the Labour group care to accept it, Mr Cameron has a good chance of being Prime Minister after the next General Election. If that means he can influence other towns to learn from Bolton Lads & Girls Club, how can that not be a positive?
Surely what we all want is what is best for our town and for the children who live here?
I just don't get where Mr White is coming from. Don't we all just want the best for our kids? And shouldn't we all agree just to do our best for a wonderful and unique club, run by the incredibly committed Jeremy Glover?
That's what I'll be doing as your Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Bolton North East.
