HAVING read in The Bolton News, and witnessed the raids by police at Lever Street Market on Sunday, March 11, targeting illegal criminal, so-called traders, I would just like to point a few things out.
The sale of these DVDs is not only illegal, but of such poor quality "only £5" per copy actually represents awful value for money.
The proceeds from the sale of these fake products fund an array of other criminal activities, linking the supply of hard drugs, prostitution, human trafficking and money laundering together.
Anyone that has bought such fakes should consider the reports of burglaries, car break-ins and muggings that are linked to drug addiction, fuelled by these criminal traders.
These criminals are not welcome at Lever Street Market. They operate outside the market area and do not pay any rent for a market stall.
Do not buy these fake goods. Rent the film for just a few pounds and enjoy a quality movie with excellent sound and picture.
