SO the proposed closing down of one lane on a section of Crompton Way is to go ahead and is estimated to take four weeks.
We are assured minimum disruption to motorists.
Well, I travel across Crompton Way into Thicketford Road on my way work, and I couldn't help noticing a sign informing that there will be no entry into Thicketford Road for a two week period from April 2.
This means that half the traffic which would normally go into Thicketford Road will be travelling towards and through the section of Crompton Way being worked on.
If this work must be done, then surely the powers that be could at least ensure that these projects did not overlap.
