REGARDING the story printed in The Bolton News on Tuesday, March 6, "Driver on the run for three years".
The article once again depicts the idiocy of "the punishment does not reflect the crime".
My partner pays over £700 per year for car insurance, while I pay over £300.
So it therefore amazes me that such a punitive fine is dished out by magistrates for a multitude of motoring offences.
This makes the law once again look an ass.
Who said "crime doesn't pay"? It costs more to obey the law than to flaunt it.
