IT'S really no surprise that Bolton's Peter Kay is getting rave reviews in the Manchester musical production of The Producers.
His inclusion as Roger DeBris in a gown is not only proving a show-stopper but also helping to guarantee that the Palace Theatre show is a sell-out.
Comedians tend to have the full complement of theatrical skills - just look at comics such as Americans Jim Carrey and Eddie Murphy, and Brits Bradley Walsh, Lee Evans and Paul Merton, to name just a few.
Peter Kay has great stage presence and timing any way - and is such an intuitive actor he could probably turn his hand to any kind of performance.
