Last Friday I hosted my charity dinner and cabaret in the Albert Halls and it was a very successful evening which everyone seemed to really enjoy.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people who helped to make the night such a huge success, your support made a big difference. Thank you also to Julie's Balloons who stepped in at the last minute when our balloon sponsor wasn't able to make it on the day.
My main thanks must go to our sponsors The Emerson Group, without their continuing support we could not organise such memorable events for the Mayor's Charity Appeal.
I am delighted to let everyone know that we raised more than £3,000 which will be donated to my main charities - Bolton Hospice and the breast cancer and stroke units at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
My final charity fundraising event will be a dinner dance at the Platinum Suite at the Reebok Stadium. This is to be held on Saturday, May 12, and tickets are just £25 each, which includes a four course dinner followed by entertainment and dancing.
The evening will commence at 7.30pm for dinner at 8pm and dress is lounge suits.
This promises to be another sell out so please reserve your tickets early by calling the Mayor's Office on 01204 331057.
Thank you again for your support for my charity appeal.
Councillor Walter Hall Mayor of Bolton
