I WENT for a run for the first time in a long time this week — and I was so proud of myself that I broke my own rule about social media and posted a status telling all about my physical exertions.
I was rightly punished by my “friends”, with a raft of abuse and sarcasm. No one wants to hear what you had for your tea, no one wants to see pictures of food, and no one wants to know that you just ran 3.2km in 26 minutes and 42 seconds.
I’ve learnt my lesson.
