AMAZING news this week — Edwina Currie is set to judge Bolton’s own version of Strictly. Actual Edwina Currie.
The annual Strictly Learn to Dance — in aid of Bolton Hospice — will see 20 novice couples compete for the glitterball trophy with our own political hotshot Elaine O’Flynn representing The Bolton News.
Fresh from her appearance on I’m a Celebrity… and not forgetting she was once a contestant on the real Strictly Come Dancing, Ms Currie will be running the rule over the Bolton couples before she and her fellow judges crown the 2015 winner.
It’s great to see the hospice attracting a genuinely big name — like her or not — to the event.
She will no doubt cause a stir on the night and it will be interesting to see how she judges our own Flynners — especially as I hope Elaine will be giving Edwina a grilling about the General Election *before* the dance-off.
