I’M a bit late to the party here but I have discovered a new TV show – Cuckoo on BBC One.

After going all through Christmas and New Year moaning about the quality of television (Miranda and Mrs Brown’s Boys aren’t for me) I stumbled upon this little gem on a late night repeat.

If you liked Outnumbered — the cringey family sitcom starring Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner as struggling parents and Tiger Drew Honey as their grumpy teen — then Cuckoo could be the one for you.

Tiger Drew Honey plays a similar character — but a bit more grown up and a bit more foul mouthed –and the excellent Greg Davies (the fearsome head in Inbetweeners) plays dad.

The second series is over now but it’s still on the iPlayer, and I’ve ordered the first series on DVD.

I thoroughly recommend it.
