PERHAPS Miss Webb in her letter, “Educate the petrolheads”, September 4, should take another look at the Highway Code and, the section that says “drivers should not drive without reasonable consideration for other drivers”.
While not condoning rude or dangerous drivers, I was always taught that it was good practise to change lanes if possible, or adjust my speed to allow other drivers on to the motorway or busy road.
If we all drove with the same self-righteous attitude as Miss Webb , there would soon be gridlock on every slip road.
Also may I draw her attention to the section that states: “You must not park at night facing against the direction of traffic”.
