FEW local entertainers have remained as loyal to their home town as Stu Francis.

The comedian, unashamedly Boltonian through and through in spite of enduring success, has just been helping a disabled charity of which he is patron raise £2,000 with his active participation.

The 21 mile sponsored hike not only netted the money but prompted Stu to comment “how beautiful Bolton  and the surrounding areas are. When you look around there’s some absolutely stunning scenery.”

Thanks for that, Stu – and for consistently showing us what riches we have on our own doorstep.
