WITH reference to the closure of Alice’s chip shop and restaurant, it seems all the cards were stacked against Denis McCabe which is such a pity.

If you wanted fish, chips and mushy peas, Alice’s was second to none.

The staff were very good and went out of their way to please even as far as going to Marks & Spencer when they ran out of apple pie and ice cream.

I hope Denis’ luck changes for the better and I along with many others wish him and all the staff all the very best and good luck in the future.

We are very sorry to see Alice’s go.
