IT’S quite a relief to hear that veteran Cockney pop stars Chas and Dave think that EastEnders is “totally unrealistic.”
The duo, famous for their chirpy songs filled with Cockney rhyming slang, have criticised the famous soap for failing to capture the spirit of the East End and missing the humour fostered in the Blitz.
Since I stopped watching the programme because it was depressingly dark, gloomy and miserable, it’s good to hear people with real knowledge of people there stating that it’s not typical. Get Chas and Dave in The Queen Vic for a good old knees-up, BBC – and brighten up your ratings!
