I AM with The Bolton News comment column, July 31, highlighting doubts about Bolton Urban Outreach’s campaign to hand out free meals to children during the school holidays.
In my opinion this action takes away a family’s responsibility to look after its own.
Previously a parent or guardian has budget priorities, first to keep a roof over their heads, secondly to put food on the table and everything else came after.
This without the benefit of family allowances.
I’m afraid this present day culture is taking the backbone out of present day citizens and is a bad example to future generations.
