IN reply to Mr Jones’ letter describing UKIP as a cross between the worst of the Tories and BNP. He states that “people do not understand what these political parties stand for”. Who does he think he is to write off the electorate as ignorant?
Is he the only one in the know, with his “Neoliberal” claptrap? How arrogant. The fact is that voters are only too aware of what has been going on in this country and the dismal state to which it has been brought. The European human rights laws are not in our best interests. David Cameron has said he wants to withdraw and bring about a British bill of human rights, but he has reneged as he is unable to do so because European law supercedes our own.
UKIP has rightly stated that we must withdraw from Europe to make our own human rights laws. Is Mr Jones aware that UKIP is the only party whose membership rules demand that no member should have ever belonged to BNP?
In the last month, UKIP has won four by-elections outright by large margins. Mr Jones would have us believe that all the voters were in ignorance, especially as he writes: “Britain isn’t known for its political literacy”. I credit the British electorate with the good sense to make their own decisions. They don’t need to be told to wake up by this sneering correspondent.
