THE menu for this year’s Bolton Food and Drink Festival sounds as appetising as usual and a real recipe for local success.
The four day foodie spectacular over the August Bank Holiday weekend will bring top chefs like Mary Berry, Paul Hollywod, James Martin and Aldo Zilli to the town.
The event has become a great visitor draw and visibly lifts the local population as, for a change, the town centre is flooded with people and trade is brisk. Last year, more than 102,000 visitors attended and it represents a huge boost for Bolton.
Keeping it going and vibrant is excellent thinking and congratulations should go right now to those in charge as we look forward to another foodfest that gives the town a real buzz.
