I’M sure I wasn’t the only person giving a yelp of satisfaction at the boxer who tracked down his Twitter abuser.
Curtis Woodhouse finally had enough of the internet troll who had insulted him for eight months. The former Premier League footballer offered a reward for his abuser’s address, and then drove 60 miles to his street after the tweets upset his wife.
Luckily for jimmybrownpants – his abuser’s anonymous Twitter name – he couldn’t find the right house, but his own tweets certainly put the wind up his tormenter, James O’Brien.
He finally apologised on TV and admitted he had let everyone down with his abuse and that it was “childish.”
I do hope this now sends out a message to the internet trolls that there really is no place to hide. Someone, somewhere knows who you are and you can be found and made accountable for your vile tirades.
