CAN we let commonsense prevail regarding all the comments being published in the press about lack of care at the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Yes, I am aware of all the things that don’t get done, as I found out over the last six years of my late husband’s stay at the Royal Bolton, but I dealt with my issues via PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Services).
Hospitals are not hotels. I dealt with my husband’s personal care, such as washing, shaving and clean clothing on a daily basis.
Relatives could also help out instead of complaining, leaving the staff to do the more complex things they seem to train for these days.
