IN Letters, March 7, “Name and address supplied” seems to give their wholehearted support to Iain Duncan Smith and his constant attacks on the poorest and weakest in our country.

I voted Conservative at the last election and indeed support IDS on some of the measures that he has taken.

However, his bedroom tax is a step too far as is his constant attacks on the poorest people in this country.

The AAA credit rating was removed by a US-based company that makes money out of interest rates.

This country is flatlining on productivity and, yes, we are borrowing more to pay for failed policies. Never forget that the clever clogs who run these credit agencies, and the mighty IMF, never saw this universal slump coming, so what sort of credibility do these people have?

As far as I am concerned none at all.

All they are out for is to line their own pockets, nothing else. They are, in fact, our enemies and should be treated as such.

As for welfare payments, yes they are way too high, so let’s start by getting rid of the welfare tourists who see the UK as a soft touch — don’t talk about it, do it.

Stop giving billions to politicians’ cronies who run failed employment schemes which look great on paper but achieve nothing. Give the money to small companies which will give people proper training and jobs.

If benefit tourists were refused entry or sent back to where they came from then, housing, schools, hospitals would be much better off.

Next we should stop the shipping of British taxpayers’ money all over the world in the form of benefits, and if the EU doesn’t like it, tough.

The Labour Party is now saying that they made a mistake with their immigration policies. It took a long time for them to realise the damage they have caused.
