A Bolton man has been ordered to pay more than £400 after being caught on the Metrolink without a ticket.

Leighton Hall entered the station at Queens Park in the north of Manchester.

The 21-year-old was found to be without a ticket.

The case against him was proved at Tameside Magistrates' Court and Hall, of Staton Avenue, Tonge Fold, was fined £220.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £208 and pay the money in its entirety within a month of the case calling at court.
