Police officers swept Bolton Bus Station for bladed weapons as part of an operation to reduce knife crime.

The officers were taking part in Operation Sceptre to tackle  knife crime and the number of people carrying knives.

A GMP spokesman said: "Officers have conducted a knife sweep in Bolton Bus Interchange as part of OpSceptre.

Sceptre is a national intensification operation focussed on knife crime, and is running throughout this week.
