A car has been seized from a mum after she let her child sleep in the back.
Greater Manchester Police officers pulled over a parent shortly before 12.50am last night, after she was found to have ran a red while also driving more than 50 per cent over the speed limit.
When the patrol unit walked over to the car on Didsbury Road, in Stockport, they discovered a child unrestrained in the back seats, as well as three tyres without grip and the driver had no insurance.
A spokesperson for the force said: "This vehicle contravened a red traffic light, drove at 47mph in a 30mph zone, had three bald tyres and no insurance.
"The driver also failed to ensure her child was restrained correctly, letting him sleep on the back seats.
"Driver reported, vehicle seized and referrals submitted."
