Stolen plant machinery worth around £100,000 were found today.
Police reported on Thursday, April 4 that they had found the two pieces of machinery in the Moses Gate area of Farnworth.
Officers say that they believe both of them were stolen and that an investigation to find the culprits is underway.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “The Farnworth neighbourhood team today after receiving live information from the public, promptly located two high value pieces of stolen plant machinery totalling the value of approximately £100,000.
“These items have now been reunited with their rightful owners.
“Ongoing investigations continue to bring those offenders to justice.”
Police have released an image of one of the suspected stolen pieces of machinery, showing a digger being towed away.
As yet no further details have been released about the suspected culprits.

This comes amid ongoing concerns about thefts of cars, vans and other vehicles along with other kinds of crime all across Bolton in recent months and years.
