FORMER Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City keeper Bobby Mimms has been appointed as Wanderers' new first-team goalkeeping coach.
The 51-year-old Yorkshireman had recently been working with ex-Whites assistant boss Neil McDonald at Blackpool after previously coaching alongside McDonald and former Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce at West Ham.
Mimms fills the vacant role at the Macron Stadium left after Lee Turner moved to Charlton Athletic last month.
Ex-Liverpool stopper Tony Warner had been filling the post on a temporary basis but now Mimms has the permanent role on Neil Lennon's coaching staff.
Meanwhile, former Wanderers coach Fred Barber has replaced Mimms at Blackpool as the Seasiders' new goalkeeping coach.
