RUGBY LEAGUE: Wigan second rower Joel Tomkins’ ever-present record this season is set to remain intact after he avoided suspension for a late tackle.
The England international, one of only three players to have started all 25 of the Warriors’ league and cup matches this year, denied making a late challenge on Richie Myler during his side’s 23-16 Engage Super League defeat by Warrington last Friday.
He was found guilty by the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee, who fined him £300, but decided not to impose a ban which clears him to play in the Super League leaders’ match at Hull on Friday.
