Old Trafford is currently gripped with Test match fever, but next Wednesday it will be the turn of footballing legends to show what they can do on a cricket wicket.
Joey Barton, Paul Merson and Viv Anderson are the latest stars to confirm their appearance at the PFA Centenary Cricket XI V Football XI game at Old Trafford.
This cricket match at Old Trafford is part of the PFA fundraising campaign "One Goal One Million" to fund a new Children's Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Unit at The University Children's Hospital, Manchester.
The All Star Football XI includes Peter Reid (Cpt), Sam Allardyce, Peter Beardsley, Joey Barton, Bryan Robson, Rob Lee, Warren Barton and Matt Le Tissier with the Cricket Legends XI fielding a team including Devon Malcolm, Sherwin Campbell, Ian Austin, Peter Martin, Robin Smith, Mike Newell and Warren Hegg.
Gates open at 3.30pm with the game starting at 5.30pm Children under 16 go free with a paying adult (£10) - but a maximum of three children per adult.
