MARK Beevers and Joe Williams look likely to be ruled out for the rest of Wanderers’ season with hamstring injuries.

Bolton host Brentford in their final home game tomorrow and Phil Parkinson will have to make at least two changes to the side beaten by Blackburn Rovers on Easter Monday as the team’s difficult run of injuries continued.

Already missing skipper David Wheater with a groin strain and with Jack Hobbs nursing a persistent back problem, Wanderers could now be down to just one fit recognised centre-half for the Bees’ visit.

Steve Parkin explained: “We have been so unlucky on the injury front.

“What happened to Wheater against Aston Villa and then you see Mark Beevers go up for a header against Blackburn and feel his hamstring on the way back down. It’s bitterly disappointing for him and us.”

Williams has started 10 of the last 11 games for Parkinson but has also experienced issues with his hamstring which could now end his campaign prematurely.

“Joe had been feeling it a bit over the weekend but felt he was okay to play against Blackburn,” Parkin said. “He looked fine when he broke through a couple of times in the first half but then felt it go into spasm. Again, it’s a blow.

“There are a few players who maybe needed a breather after the two games but we want to make sure we regroup and prepare properly for the Brentford game.”

Harry Brockbank was substituted before the end of the game at Ewood Park but Parkin believes he will be in contention for this weekend’s game.

“Harry is a young lad and has played a couple of games in a short space of time,” he said. “He’s done smashing and hopefully he’ll be fine.”

Parkin is keen to send Wanderers fans off with a victory, which would be only the fifth at the UniBol this season. It would also help the current team avoid equalling a club-record low, which was set by Owen Coyle’s side as they were relegated from the Premier League.

“We really do need to put in a performance for the fans,” he added.
