WANDERERS have registered academy goalkeeping coach Ben Williams for tomorrow’s Championship opener at West Brom.
Phil Parkinson is working on signing a new goalkeeper but has confirmed the deal will not be done before the trip to The Hawthorns.
The Whites boss also hinted he could add another outfield player to his ranks before the squad travels to the Midlands.
Williams, the ex-Bradford City and Bury keeper, played in pre-season against Guiseley and replaced Ian Wilcox in the academy after he left to coach at Manchester United Ladies.
Parkinson says he is also closing in on a left-back, with Ken Anderson also in deep discussions over a new striker to be signed before the permanent transfer window closes on August 9.
