BOLTON School girls won one trophy, shared another and just missed out on a third at the Bolton Swimming Championships.
The juniors finished first, while the senior team tied for first place with Canon Slade and the intermediate team were narrowly edged into second.
Year 8 duo Elly Fraser and Amy Doyle swam to victory in the two individual events won by Bolton School juniors while the team – which also comprised Year 8 pupils Tahira Collins, Celia Logan and Katie Riggs and Year 7 pupils Lucy Dixon, Kiana Murray and Bethany Shum – also won both the freestyle and medley relays.
Bolton School's senior girls also found themselves locked in a close contest with Canon Slade.
With both teams winning two individual events and one relay, the competition finished in a tie for first place.
The team consisted of Year 11 pupils Tara Wallis and Niamh Knowles and Year 12 pupils Emma Higginbottom and Isabelle Devine.
The intermediate team of Year 9 and 10 girls narrowly missed out on the trophy in their competition.
Katherine Baker won the individual backstroke but it was not enough to deny Canon Slade first place.
