LIAM Feeney has options as he ponders life after Bolton Wanderers.

The flying winger, who spent the last couple of months of last season on loan at Ipswich Town, is a wanted man in the Championship.

A return to Portman Road still looks favourite for the 29-year-old but a number of other clubs, including Birmingham City, are also interested in signing him on a free.

Mick McCarthy has already confirmed Ipswich are in talks but the player’s wages – which led to him being loaned out at Wanderers in the first place – are understood to be an issue.

“We’re talking to him and we’re talking to his agent,” McCarthy said at the end of the season. “I’d like him to stay and he would like to stay and if we can come to a mutually-beneficial deal then that’s what will happen. If we don’t, then we won’t.”

Feeney finished his three-year spell with Wanderers having played 92 games, scoring eight goals.
