WANDERERS are dismissing talk of Everton and Sunderland coming in with a bid for Chung-Yong Lee as “agent talk.”

One report yesterday claimed the Premier League pair were weighing up a move for the South Korean international but sources at the club have confirmed there has been no contact made by either the Toffees or the Black Cats.

Chung-Yong has been strongly linked with Martinez before, when the Spaniard was manager at Wigan Athletic, and has also been mentioned as a target for Stoke City and Liverpool in the past.

But the 24-year-old is contracted to the Reebok until 2015 and looks set to be one of Dougie Freedman’s key players heading into the Championship campaign.

Chung-Yong spent nine months out with a double fractured leg and struggled for form in the first half of last season. He improved after the turn of the year, however, and it is hoped he can rediscover his best form as Wanderers push for automatic promotion this time around.
