NOT-for-profit Bolton youth magazine Xplode is being backed by the national Spark Award scheme, which supports people with a track record of making a difference in their communities.
UnLtd, the foundation for social entrepreneurs, has partnered with Santander to launch an initiative to create a network of support for social enterprises in the UK.
Xplode — based at the Bolton Hub — will set up monthly meetings with social entrepreneurs from across Greater Manchester to liaise and network with each other to share skills, experiences and resources.
Editor Saeed Atcha said: “This initiative aims to stimulate other potential leaders in the area and will benefit social entrepreneurs across Greater Manchester. Building on the strong image that Xplode has as a social enterprise, it’s great that UnLtd & Santander are pioneering this project.”
