A LEAKING water pipe is being replaced in Farnworth.

United Utilities is currently working to fix the problem in Egerton Road.

The company said no homes will be affected by the work as big tankers are in place to feed homes with water.

The fix is scheduled in for Sunday so it is less likely to affect traffic at the busy juncion, which is near Moses Gate train station.

A spokesman said: “This is a job we have had scheduled in for a while. It is a routine fix of a leaking pipe, which we will be replacing.

“We have made sure that no one will be without water.”
