A FORMER solicitor is to appear in court charged with using threatening language or behaviour on a Bolton train.
Angus Diggle, aged 56, of Bromwich Street, The Haulgh , is alleged to have committed the offence on a train between Manchester Victoria station and Bolton on March 5.
Bolton Magistrates Court yesterday heard the full charge that Mr Diggle had used threatening, abusive or insulting words or disorderly behaviour within hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm of distress.
The defendant was not in court and no solicitor was there to represent him.
Howard Sloane, prosecuting, said a summons was issued on August 13.
Magistrates adjourned the case until October 12.
