AN admin worker had a lucky escape after her fingers became trapped in a paper shredder.
Firefighters based at Bolton Central Fire Station attended Barlow Andrews, Chartered Accountants, Chorley New Road, at 3.30pm on Thursday.
Ady Taylor, watch commander, said: “We suspect she had broken her fingers. Someone at the office had a tool kit and freed her fingers. We gave her first aid and oxygen. We were able to keep her stable until the paramedics arrived.”
The woman had not cut her hands in the machinery. The accident is thought to have happened while shredding a large amount of paper.
