MOVIES fans had the chance to make their own short films.
Young Film Academy (YFA) tutors Ed Boase and Graham Foote visited Bolton School.
Graham is a freelance composer, professional vocalist, freelance arranger and orchestrator and has worked on scores for several major Hollywood films.
Year 11 boys learnt about the history of film-making before taking part in their own screenwriting and planning session.
Inspired by a Charlie Chaplin short, the pupils produced their own ten-shot film.
A school spokesman said: “The afternoon ended with a screening of all the films followed by an award ceremony which saw the film ‘Run” win an ‘Oscar’. The session provided a great opportunity for boys to call upon their creative skills, to hone their time-management, team-working, leadership and communication skills whilst learning about how the film industry.”
