SIXTH formers at Bolton School got in the festive spirit to raise money for charity.
Students from the school in Chorley New Road donned their best Christmas jumpers and gave a donation to charity in return.
The charities commission, run by the students, will decide where to allocate the money when it has been counted.
Sixth form students carry out over 10,000 hours of voluntary work each year and the school annually raises more than £30,000 for charity.
Philip Britton, headmaster of Bolton School Boys’ Division, said: “The Christmas Jumper Day allowed students to get into the festive mood whilst raising money for charity.
“Throughout the year, pupils at Bolton School undertake a wide range of activities that raise funds for charity and heighten their own philanthropic awareness.
“Altruism has always been an integral part of the curriculum and helps students gain a better understanding of the world around them.”
