A WOMAN has died in a car accident in Bolton town centre.
Laura Farrell, 41, from Argyle Avenue, Walkden, was driving a black Ford Focus when it smashed into a blue Ford Fiesta in Topp Way.
She suffered a serious head injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her father, Ian Robbins, of Worsley, paid the following tribute: "Laura was a loving daughter, sister and auntie and she will be missed by everyone who knew her."
The accident was discovered by a passing police patrol car at about 3.25am this morning.
The woman driver of the Fiesta and a man who was a passenger in the Focus were also seriously injured in the crash and have been taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital. They remain in serious conditions.
Part of Topp Way was closed to traffic which caused disruption and delays.
