A road was cordoned off earlier today after a van caught on fire.
Church Street in Leigh was cordoned off by the Boar's Head Pub after reports of a van fire.
Nobody was injured in the incident which saw crews from Atherton take care of the blaze to make the area safe again.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At just after 1.30pm today (Sunday 19 May), fire crews were called to reports of a van fire on Church Street, Leigh.
“One fire engine from Atherton quickly attended the incident which involved one vehicle.
“Crews arrived quickly at scene and extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet.
“Fire fighters worked with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to make the area safe before departing after approximately one hour at the scene."
Earlier today, at 1am this morning, a blaze broke out on Bolton Road in Westhoughton involving a car.
Firefighters from three separate stations were called to the incident, along with paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service, and tackled the blaze for just under an hour.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At just before 1am today, Sunday 19 May, fire crews were called to reports of a car fire on Bolton Road, Westhoughton.
“Three fire engines from Bolton, Hindley and Atherton quickly attended the incident which involved one vehicle."
One person was assessed but not taken to hospital.
