Spotify fans are obsessing over a new feature on the music and podcast streaming platform.

The new online feature can be used to analyse your Spotify listening habits and present your results in receipt form.

Receiptify is a third-party app which can give you a stylised receipt of your listening history over the course of a month, a year, or many other time periods.

The platform takes listening data from your Spotify login and presents the information in the form of a receipt.

Each receipt can be produced based on your favourite artist, favourite songs, favourite genres, or a host of other criteria.

While you can customise the time period that is being analysed and create your own Spotify Wrapped alternative.

To create yours, go to Receiptify.herokuapp.com and log in to your Spotify account.

After giving permission for the tool to access your Spotify data you will be able to create a receipt based on your music taste based on different listening metrics.

Once your results come through in the form of a receipt, you can save the image and share with your friends, and also use the data to create a new playlist which will appear directly in your Spotify app.

What is Spotify Pie Chart?

And Receiptify isn’t the only third-party app allowing you to analyse your Spotify data, as Spotify Pie Chart does the same thing.

The third-party feature has been developed by a University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) student Darren Huang.

The genre app known as Spotify Pie allows users to "bake" their own "Monthly Genre Pie".

The popular new feature reveals your listening habits by genre based on your most played tracks.

Some of the genres include experimental, indie rock, dream pop, K-pop, emo rap and more.

If you'd like to try it out for yourself, you can access it via Huang's website.

All you need to do is log into your Spotify account through Huang’s genre app - enjoy!
