A star of ITV’s The Voice Kids is "super excited" to be playing his second headline show in a new "amazing venue" in Horwich.

Bradshaw teenager Will Edgar’s performance will take place on Saturday, July 13 at The Ramp, a new performance and rehearsal space located in the former Nailed It building off Hampson Street.

He tasted success on the primetime reality series as a member of fellow Boltonian Danny Jones’ team back in July last year.

The 15-year-old made it to the final of the singing competition, narrowly missing out to winners Andrea and Shanice.

Will said: 'I’m super excited to be having my own showcase again but in this new amazing venue.

"The night is going to be made up of amazing artists from the local area.

"I’ll be playing my original songs and some of my unreleased songs which I’ve been working on in the studio.

"They sound great and I’ve worked with some of the best world-renowned session artists on the songs."

The singer-songwriter started his musical journey during lockdown in 2020, and quickly applied for the singing competition which receives 5,000 applicants every year.

Since the show, the teenager has played open mic shows at venues in the area, including Bar Four at The Vaults in Bolton, Lime Bar Lounge in Penwortham and The Bar in Ramsbottom.

His debut headline performance came as part of "Acoustic Sessions at The Forge" at Bolton Little Theatre on Friday, March 15.
