Bolton's first Muslim mayor has spoke about his experience of Ramadan while serving in his civic role.
Cllr Akhtar Zaman, who represents Halliwell, has been to "more iftar events than any year before" during one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar, which ended last week.
Iftar is the meal eaten after sunset during Ramadan.
Among the events he attended, was the first ever iftar held at the University of Bolton Stadium.
It sold out in less than 24 hours and was attended by people of all faiths.
