A new nightclub and bar is just weeks away from opening in Nelson Square.

The owner says it brings something unique to the town centre.

Element 51 is expected to open at the start of next month, with well-known BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Charlie Sloth playing at its launch party.

The new club has a modern feel to it with a clean look, with subtle illuminated lights.

Owner Simon Kaden-Smith has 30 years’ experience in the industry, starting off as a semi-professional DJ, as well as being involved in event planning.

He said: “I used to come here on a night out and Bolton was thriving.

“It has dropped off over the years with the club industry changing.

“I love just seeing everything come together.

The Bolton News:

“We have been working on this for three months flat.

“A lot of people are excited to see something new."

The club features different areas and artists are set to be regular visitors.

Talks are currently taking place, to secure the likes of Notes, Yungen, Jordan McCann, Silky and more.

The bar will have soundproofed six-person pods for revellers to play their own music, as well as a larger bar area where DJs can play.

          The Bolton News:

There will also be a main room which will be used for club events, with a VIP section for artists and their entourage, where customers may have the chance to meet some of the artists, as well as a separate VIP section that can be booked out for special occasions.

Simon added: “What we are trying to do is offer an experience and place for everyone where people can socialise or have a dance or enjoy the music that is safe.”

Simon says that he also wants the club to cater to a wider audience, with potential for 80s and 90s events.

The club also has a recovery area for anyone who might need helping to get home if they have had too much to drink, with staff trained on first aid.

Simon added: “Customer safety is a big thing to us, and we are aware of knife crime being a problem so we will wand people at the door and anything sharp can be left at the door, as well working with the council, having glass marshals to watch unattended drinks, and being a part of Ask Angela.”
