Police are investigating after a car caught fire in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Bolton North Fire Station attended a car fire on Green Way in Bolton at around 5.30am today (Wednesday 28).
No one was injured in the fire, which caused damage to the rear of the car, a Ford Focus.
Bolton North confirmed that Greater Manchester Police are investigating the car fire.
Firefighter at Bolton North, Daniel Vickers, said: “We attended and there was a Ford Focus on fire. It is unknown as to the cause of the fire.

“There was damage to the rear of the vehicle.
“Police were in attendance as well. They want to make some enquiries.
“We used a hose reel and cameras to extinguish the fire. We were there for about 45 minutes.”
He continued: “There were no injuries.
“The owner of the vehicle has been woken up by the sound of popping and has looked outside and saw the vehicle on fire.”
Firefighters also checked the resident’s smoke alarm in their house while they were in attendance.
